Jenna Renée Ims. I am a young designer and aspiring architect born and raised in Orlando, Florida.

My passion for design began as a little girl, accompanying my realtor mother on house showings and watching my father do the remodel and addition on our home. I was fascinated with the design and construction process, and I had always loved to draw. When I was around 8 years old, I could take an Etch-A-Sketch and draw a two-story elevation, down to the very last details. Naturally, architecture was my intended path and purpose.
My First Introduction...
In high school, I was given the opportunity to be a part of a four-year interior design program. This is where I truly fell in love with design. It equipped me with drafting skills, hand-rendering techniques, conceptual understanding, and knowledge of design principles + elements. I was able to earn college credit for interior design through the local community college, however, I knew I wanted more out of design education, and therefore, I decided to pursue an architecture degree.
And So It Begins...
I then embarked on my architectural education at the University of Florida. Going through all the design studios, I watched as my perception of the world changed drastically. UF's architecture curriculum forever changed me into a design-thinker.
